Government at work for expatriates and mobile placement candidates

Undersecretary Cecilia Guerra in the Labor Committee in the Chamber: towards the preparation of an interministerial decree and additional measures to guarantee income protection.

Government at work for expatriates and mobile placement candidates

Expatriates and "placed in mobility", the government at work to find solutions. The further assurance comes from undersecretary Cecilia Guerra. As regards the so-called exodus workers, the representative of the Executive, in replying to a question in the Labor commission in the Chamber, recalled that a technical roundtable was set up in the Ministry of Labor which confirmed that "the financial amount identified by the pension reform , implemented with the Salva Italia decree, is adequate to meet all needs, including those introduced by the Milleproroghe decree, without having to resort to additional resources. The work of the technical table will also constitute an important starting point for the preparation of the interministerial decree which will have to define the implementation methods for the purpose of granting the benefits currently envisaged and whose enactment is set for 30 June next".

MThere is also a further group of workers on the horizon who, while not directly affected by the current safeguard measures, "deserve particular attention since in the next few years they will still have to deal with the effects produced by the recently adopted pension reform". For example, - explains Undersecretary Guerra - we are dealing with the so-called "mobility placements" pursuant to government collective agreements entered into by 4 December 2011, who would have obtained pension treatment at the end of the mobility period.

"The government is evaluating the possibility of adopting additional measures aimed at guaranteeing income protection for these workers, whose characteristics will be carefully defined also in relation to the greater or lesser extension of the time span that separates each of them from achieving the new pension requirements also in order to guarantee the fairness and sustainability of the pension reform over time”.
