Businesses, 1,3 million revenues by June: the three key sectors

414 admissions expected in April, 1,3 million by June 2019. These are the forecasts of the monthly bulletin of the Excelsior information system of Unioncamere - Anpal for the current month and quarter.

From a monthly point of view, according to the report, April will confirm the cyclical increase in contracts. The credit will go above all to the tourist services sector, "encouraged in the forecasts of the operators by the numerous bridges offered by the festivities present in the month".

The uncertainties present on international markets in recent months are influencing the export of Made in Italy, thus weighing on the "occupational choices of operators in the food sector in particular (between April 2018 and April 2019: -6,1%)", underline Unioncamere -Anpal. Despite that planned revenue in the industry continues to grow (+3,2% on an annual basis) thanks to three key sectors: fashion, metallurgy and mechatronics which alone determine the positive balance of the sector.

On the other hand, planned revenues in services decreased by 4,4% compared to April 2018, due to the 6,9 thousand fewer contracts expected in trade.

"Moreover, observing the dynamics of the companies that envisage hiring, it can be seen how the number of them continues to increase for the second consecutive month, exceeding the threshold of 235,6 thousand companies in April (second best performance between April 2018 and April 2019 ),” reads the report.

For the individual professions, the misalignment complained of by companies between supply and demand is reduced compared to the beginning of the year. From 31% in January we reached 27% in April.

Finally, at the territorial level, it is highlighted how the flow of income expected in April in the central regions is growing compared to the same month of 2018 (+3 thousand), while the expected decline in the South and Islands is particularly pronounced (-10 thousand admissions). The forecasts for the North-East regions are slightly down and those of the North-West substantially stable.
