Waste from Rome, surreal reverse of the Five Stars: no Emilia

For fear of electoral backlashes and the protest of the Grillina base, M5S pushes Raggi to an about-face: the waste will not be shipped and disposed of in Emilia - Governor Bonaccini: "Surreal story: they are the ones who asked us for help, but alone they cannot they'll never make it."

Waste from Rome, surreal reverse of the Five Stars: no Emilia

The controversy over Roman waste shows no sign of abating. And as usual, the 5 Stars make good times and bad times, in an attempt to always and in any case be "consistent" in front of their electorate. The result, the concrete one, is that we are heading towards yet another impasse: the mayor Virginia Raggi has in fact reversed, no waste in Emilia-Romagna.

After the request for help for disposal launched a month ago to the Region symbol of the Democratic Party, with consequent controversies and squabbles, and the availability of the governor Bonaccini, the 5Stelle are now in alarm for the political backlash. In fact, the electoral campaign in the red region that the M5S dreams of conquering – in politics – would be at risk. And then there is an extremist electorate to keep at bay, so much so that the diktat would have come from the leaders of the Movement, who forced Virginia Raggi to give up the Emilian card to play that of the closer Abruzzo.

Meanwhile, as required in the role-playing game, the Ama (the capital's municipal waste company) denies the emergency, which however actually exploded again during the holiday season. The Romans, who normally churn out a total of 4500 tons of waste a day, have increased their production during the holidays, exceeding the threshold of 5000 tons. Numbers that already in the rest of the year are well above the Italian average: if a Roman pours 590 kilos of waste into the bins a year, in the rest of the country it stops at 480 kilos per person.
