We talk about the great Nebbiolos of Upper Piedmont, the native Vespolina and Uva Rara, the traditional and always loved reds of Acquese and Casalese: Barbera, Grignolino and Dolcetto; together with the aromatic Brachetto and Moscato. A very rich production that benefits from both the geomorphological complexity and the variety of the soils. This great biodiversity is reflected in high-level wine production with notable highlights.
As many as 40 tours, dinners, wine days, market exhibitions, literary prizes, training and in-depth moments aimed at increasing international wine tourism
And behind these numbers, another growing phenomenon: wine tourism in the area of Upper Piedmont and Gran Monferrato. Especially Italian and European travellers, increasingly looking for food and wine experiences as a central and not collateral element of the trip. In this sense, the territory aims to prepare a correct storytelling, centered on a geographical area that makes biodiversity and respect for nature and the rural lifestyle its main value.
«The path that begins in these days – underlines the President of the promoting Committee, Mario Arosio – is an extraordinary result achievable only thanks to the collaboration and commitment of all the subjects involved in this incredible adventure, who have been able to express an intelligent sense of participation, creating a historic opportunity to raise awareness and give even greater fame to the great wines of Alto Piemonte and Gran Monferrato".
