Anthony Mangieri's Neapolitan Pizza in New York is the World's Best Pizzeria of 2024. This was decreed at the end of a complex international selection process 50 Top Pizza, the most important online industry guide edited by Barbara Guerra, Luciano Pignataro and Albert Sapere.
In second place ex aequo the couple Diego Vitagliano Pizzeria in Naples, and I Masanielli by Francesco Martucci in Caserta, both first for 50 Top Pizza Italia 2024; on third step of the podium The Pizza Bar on 38th, in Tokyo, led by Daniele Cason, number one for 50 Top Pizza Asia – Pacific 2024; fourth place for Confine in Milan, by Francesco Capece and Mario Ventura; in fifth place Napoli on the Road in London, by Michele Pascarella.
Next up is Tony's Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco, by Tony Gemignani; I Tigli in San Bonifacio, by Simone Padoan; Sartoria Panatieri in Barcelona, by Rafa Panatieri and Jorge Sastre, and 50 Kalò in Naples, by Ciro Salvo; closing out the top ten is Seu Pizza Illuminati in Rome, by Pier Daniele Seu.
Special Award to Giorgia Caporuscio of Don Antonio in New York: “For having inspired pizza chefs around the world”
50 Top Pizza World 2024 Special Awards: the Empower Women – Fedegroup Award goes to Giorgia Caporuscio of Don Antonio in New York, with the following motivation: “For having inspired pizza chefs all over the world, because making pizza has never been culturally considered a women’s job; the fact that it has “always” been like this does not mean that it is right or that it should always be like this. Change does not happen by itself”.

A further Green Oven 2024 – Goeldlin award, which rewards great attention to environmental sustainability, was assigned to Cambia-Menti by Ciccio Vitiello, in Caserta, which adds to the other Green Ovens/Forni Verdi already assigned during the year.
