Cdp Venture Capital and Generali Italia have entered into an agreement which leads to birth of Convivit, a new company introducing a new housing model intended for self-sufficient over 65s, offering assistance and well-being services for an active lifestyle. 

According to the latest Istat estimates, in 2045 there will be in Italy 20 million over 65s, a reality to be taken into consideration already today, proposing initiatives that can meet present and future needs.

Convivit is 50% owned by Cdp Venture Capital, through the Boost Innovation Fund, and 50% by Generali Welion. The partnership establishes the birth of a new network of Senior Living residences capable of guaranteeing the people hosted an active lifestyle rich in sociability, which helps to maintain fullness of life for as long as possible in the best health conditions in a context that ensures adequate protection in terms of health support of their guests.

Andrea Mecenero he will be the managing director of Convivit, a company which aims to open 20 residences for 2.500 people with 2.000 apartments throughout the country by 2030.

“The services offered will range from those dedicated toresidential aspect, such as unlimited Wi-Fi connectivity, 24-hour concierge and laundry, to those on health and safety, with the possibility of having wearable devices for each tenant for constant monitoring of health parameters, 24-hour telephone assistance, health services from operators specialists, up to wellness and entertainment services with beauty centre, hairdresser, recreational activities and gym”, explain Cdp Venture Capital and Generali Welion in a joint note. 

The different services will be integrated through an Internet of Things platform while a digital system will offer each tenant protection and assistance.

Expected different types of apartments, from the "Smart" ones for single use, to the "First Class" and "Suite" ones dedicated to couples. These structures will be inserted in urban contexts and well-served citizens, equipped with meeting places, common spaces and green areas that favor moments of sociality.
