Wine: Veronelli's wines were awarded the best wines in Italy by the Golden Guide

Ferrari reserve of the founder best sparkling wine of the year. For the first time the best white wine is from the South, from the Luigi Moio winery. Wine: Veronelli's wines were awarded the best wines in Italy by the Golden Guide

The top of the tops: "five oenological masterpieces", are the five Best Tastings, reported by the Golden Guide I Vini Veronelli 2022 which this year selected 399 national wine excellences.

For the sparkling wines type, the Best Tasting 2022 award goes to the Trento Extra Brut Giulio Ferrari Riserva del Fondatore 2010 by Ferrari Fratelli Lunelli (Trento). The title of Best White Wine was instead assigned for the first time to a wine from the South, obtained from native varieties: the Irpinia Bianco Grande Cuvée Luigi Moio 2018 by Quintodecimo (Mirabella Eclano, AV). The best rosé wine is the Girofle Rosé Salento Negroamaro 2020 by Garofano Vigneti e Cantine (Copertino, LE), while the best red wine was the Barolo Bussia Riserva Granbussia 2012 by Poderi Aldo Conterno (Monforte d'Alba, CN). Finally, it is the Tuscan coast that has given, this year, the Best Sweet or Meditation Wine, the Petit Manseng Costa Toscana Passito 2018 by Terenzi (Scansano, GR).

The five Best Tastings will be among the protagonists of the preview presentation of the Gold Guide I Vini di Veronelli 2022, which will be held on Friday 12 November at Palazzo Te, in Mantua. During the day, four appointments will tell the story of the new edition and will offer these and other important tastings guided by the Curators.

The Suns were also awarded, special prizes from the editorial staff to as many "stories in the form of wine" representative of the competence, creativity and commitment of Italian producers.

To win the prestigious award this year, the Valle d'Aosta Chambave Muscat Flétri 2019 di The Vrille (Verrayes, AO), the Red Monferrato 1491 2015 di U Crockery Castle (Rosignano Monferrato, AL), theOltrepò Pavese Riesling Superiore Vigna Martina Le Fleur 2019 di Isimbard (Santa Giulietta, PV), lo Zero Perpetual Infinite knows di Pojer & Sandri (Faedo, TN), the Collio Pinot Grigio Reserve Mongris 2017 di Marco felluga (Gradisca d'Isonzo, GO), the Maremma Tuscany Sangiovese Acrobata 2015 di Pian del Crognolo (Scansano, GR), the Serra Petrona Rosso Morò 2018 di lamefountain (Civitanova Marche, MC), the Fonte Grotta Dry Moscato Hills Pescara 2020 di IX century estate (Castiglione a Casauria, PE), theEtna Rosso Saeculare Reserve 2012 di The Keepers of the Vineyards of Etna (Castiglione di Sicilia, CT), finally the wine Zhabib Terre Siciliane Zibibbo Passito 2020 di Hibiscus (Ustica, PA).

The Veronelli Guide has selected 399 excellent wines this year which have been awarded the Three Gold Stars. From South Tyrol to Sicily, the three golden stars have been awarded exclusively to wines that have achieved a qualitative evaluation of at least 94/100 by the Curators Andrea Alpi, Gigi Brozzoni, Marco Magnoli and Alessandra Piubello. In the edition with the most participation and the richest content of the last ten years, the Three Gold Stars represent the best of vines and wine in Italy: to the Readers who will purchase the volume in bookstores or on the Association's website and who will consult the Guide in the Its app version invites you to ideally explore the peninsula, savoring the best of its wine productions. Furthermore, the title of Great Debut has been assigned to 25 new wines which, on their first appearance, have reached or exceeded the threshold of excellence (to win the Three Gold Stars, these "debutants" will have to confirm their quality and reliability also in the next year).

The event at Palazzo Te in particular will begin at 11.30, with the presentation of the novelties of the 2022 edition by the curators of the Gold Guide, the director of the Permanent Seminar Luigi Veronelli Andrea Bonini and Gabriele Principato, journalist of Cook of the Corriere della Sera, meeting moderator. To follow, the ten Suns will be presented and awarded, special prizes assigned by the editorial staff to as many "stories in the form of wine" representative of the competence, creativity and commitment of Italian producers. The wines will then be offered for tasting at 15.00 pm, during the meeting "I Sole 2022. Signature Tasting" conducted by the Curators of the Gold Guide. At 17.30, the protagonists will be the Best Tastings, with the appointment "Venus divine and the five oenological forms of beauty" which will bring into dialogue some of the masterpieces exhibited at Palazzo Te, on the occasion of the exhibition "Venus. Nature, shade and beauty”, with the leaders of Italian viticulture.

The appointments will end at 21.00 with "Sesto senso", concert for wines and music by the writer, musicologist and soul of Sei gradi, cult broadcast of Rai Radio 3 Luca Damiani, and with the participation of Andrea Alpi, Curator of the Guide Veronelli, the cellist Gemma Pedrini and the double bass player Giovanni Cannata.
