Knowing what is behind a glass, a vine, the territory, its history: this is the spirit that animates the new edition of the Casavecchia & Pallagrello Wine Festival. Three days of tastings, workshops, music and high quality cuisine to be held in the historic center of Pontelatone (Caserta) from 30 June to 2 July coming for the event promoted by Pontelatone Casavecchia Wine Route e by the Pro loco of Pontelatone, in collaboration with the Municipality of Pontelatone, AIS – Italian Sommelier Association and Unpli, with the coordination of Francesco Scaramuzzo.
An event that in just a few years has grown a lot in terms of numbers and appreciation by the public and professionals, in which the protagonists are the producers of Casavecchia and Pallagrello who insist on the Doc area to which the Festival is dedicated since birth, to give space and voice to these vines within the increasingly vast Campanian and Italian wine scene in general.
The event will have a itinerant formula in the historic center of Pontelatone, with tasting stalls, moments dedicated to food, music in Piazza Cutillo and in-depth seminars. Over the three days from June 30th to July 2nd, starting at 20:1 p.m., the wineries' tasting tables and food stands will open, offering menus featuring local products. On Saturday, July 19st, at 20.30:2 p.m., in Piazzetta Municipio, there will be a Pallagrello Bianco Masterclass led by journalist Luciano Pignataro. This will be followed at 19:XNUMX p.m. in Piazza Cavour by the spectacular stretching of Mozzarella di Bufala Campana DOP, while on Sunday, July XNUMXnd, again at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. in Piazzetta Municipio, there will be a Casavecchia Masterclass led by Pietro Iadicicco, provincial delegate of the AIS Caserta (info: [email protected]).
“The recognisability and personality of the Casavecchia & Pallagrello Wine Festival – says the coordinator of the event Francesco Scaramuzzo – is linked to a very specific characteristic: unconditionally associating the wine with the chosen territory, making it a whole, in order to create for the wine tourist a complete package.
