Bererosa 2023: the best Italian rosé wines on display and tasting among the ruins of ancient Rome

Rosé wines, declined still and with bubbles will be the protagonists of Bererosa, the great event organized by the magazine Cucina & Vini Tuesday 4th July in the suggestive spaces of Villa Appia Antica, among centuries-old trees and the ruins of Ancient Rome.

"L 'increased attention in the consumption of rosé wines is a recent fact in our country. – says Francesco D'Agostino, director of Cucina & Vini – When we started with our event in 2012 we recorded an almost unexpected success with the public, which has been confirmed year after year, even if the market has not followed quickly. Today, however, there are data that finally confirm a change of pace on the part of the Italian production world of certified quality, a increase in volumes which has been consolidated in recent years. By processing the Icqrf data relating to the stock of PDO and PGI wine in Italian cellars and comparing them over five years (since this Icqrf service has existed), we have had confirmation that the stock of rosé wine grew by an average of 72% in the months from January to May (period of greatest bottling), while for whites and reds the increase was respectively 32% and 18%. We have always experienced first-hand the enthusiasm with which the public welcomes these wines, succeeding in increasing consumer awareness and sensitivity towards the pink world. Today, seeing that the numbers finally follow the trends of public preferences is a source of great satisfaction".

Like every year, Bererosa will take place with the Walk Around Tasting formula, which will allow the public to taste labels of absolute value by strolling freely in the open spaces of Villa Appia Antica.

The pairing with food cannot be missed and for this 2023 edition of Bererosa one of the most important Italian companies in the food sector will be part of the team, as main sponsor of the event, the Veroni Salumi Group, a family history born in the early 1900s and which today brings the excellence of the great Italian cured meats all over the world.

“After the happy collaboration with SparkleDay and the success of our presence at the tennis internationals last May, Bererosa will be the third appointment with this unique city in the world that always responds with great enthusiasm to our food experience proposal, with which we bring the world the high quality of our cured meats combined with good drinks”, says Emanuela Bigi, marketing manager of Veroni. “At Bererosa, an event that has intercepted a new trend that is now increasingly consolidated even among the youngest, we will be present with two formulas that we will make the most of by focusing on platters of mixed cured meats sliced on sight and sandwiches with our giant mortadella, made at the moment by experienced professionals”.

For those with a sweet tooth, there will be the Lisita Pasticceria food truck, which for 50 years has been churning out essential sweets and in Bererosa it will prepare puff pastry, Sicilian cannoli stuffed on the spot and babà!
