Unicredit, appointments: Maccario new chief lending officer

He will take the place of Andrea Varese – Guglielmo Zadra will succeed Maccario as head of the Group Regulatory Affairs structure and as a member of the Executive Management Committee

New appointments at Unicredit. The Bank announces that Aurelio Maccario is the group's new chief lending officer. He will replace Andrea Varese, who will remain a member of the Executive Management Committee until the completion of the transition, set for February XNUMX this year.

Maccario joined UniCredit in 2002 holding different roles until his appointment as head of the Group Strategic Planning structure in 2010. In 2013 he moved to Group Risk Management with responsibility for Pillar 2 activities and monitoring of the consolidated credit risk profile of the group. In 2015 he was appointed head of the Group Regulatory Affairs structure. Maccario is a member of the supervisory boards of Zagrebačka Banka, Croatia, and of Bank Austria.

Within the first half of 2020, Guglielmo Zadra – now on the management board of HypoVereinsbank-UniCredit Bank AG – will succeed Maccario as head of the Group Regulatory Affairs structure and as a member of the group's Executive Management Committee.
