And of Oilivis of Carpino (FG), with Bella Di Capitanata quality olives best pickled green olive produced in Italy in 2023. And it comes fromAgr. Az. Casino Re di Sonnino (LT), the best black olive of the year in black Itrana quality brine. For lovers of seasoned olives you go without fail with Az. Agr. Americo Quattrociocchi from Terracina (LT) with seasoned Itrana black olives.

These are the indications that emerged from “Monna Oliva” the National Competition promoted by the UMAO – Mediterranean Union of Oil Tasters – reserved for table olives produced and processed in Italy, presented during the VIII National Focus on table olives in the former Cartiera Latina in the Appia Antica Park which this year had as its theme: "Opportunities and critical issues of table olive growing".

In the foreground is the comparison between the different Italian production realities both on the problems and on the evolution of production and consumption in the sector. The works moderated by the agri-food journalist Tiziana Briguglio, saw the participation of the director of the Lazio Region Paolo Gramiccia, the director of the "Giuseppe Garibaldi" agricultural technical institute Andrea Pontarelli; of the President of the Agricultural Experts Association Andrea Bottaro; of the regional President of the Città dell'Olio Association Alfredo D'Antimi and of the regional President OP Confoliva Confagricoltura Pierluigi Silvestri.

Over one hundred participants from all producing regions: Liguria, Marche, Abruzzo, Lazio, Molise, Basilicata, Puglia, Calabria, Sicily and Sardinia. Four ccompeting categories: Green tanned olives; Natural green olives; Natural black olives; Seasoned olives.
