OGGIROSA: four days dedicated to Italian pink wines on Lake Garda

The Veronese side of Lake Garda is transformed into a large tasting counter for Italian rosé wines, for one of the first major public events dedicated to wine in the post-pandemic period.

In fact, from 18 to 21 June, Villa Carrara Bottagisio will host OggiRosa, a rich event dedicated to Italian pink wines organized by Rosautoctono, the Institute for native Italian pink wine which brings together the Consortia for the protection of Chiaretto di Bardolino, Valtènesi, Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo, Castel del Monte Rosato and Bombino Nero, Salice Salentino Rosato and Cirò Rosato, in collaboration with the Municipality of Bardolino and the Bardolino Top Foundation. Guests of honor the "new" pink bubbles of Prosecco Rosé.

“The whole area of the park of Villa Carrara Bottagisio – explains the president of the Rosautoctono, Franco Cristoforetti, also at the helm of the Chiaretto and Bardolino Consortium – will be open to the public for a large tasting counter of Italian rosé wines. Furthermore, on the 21st and 22nd, we will organize a series of webinars on the protected designations of origin of Italian rosé wine for the press and operators in the United States, led by the American journalist Katherine Cole, and in China".

The OggiRosa wine tasting counter, open on Fridays and Mondays from 17 to 23 pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 11 to 23 pm, will be structured into two distinct sections, one of which is dedicated to the organic world. There is also a food area, where you can taste some classic Veronese recipes such as risotto all'isolana based on Vialone Nano PGI rice, proposed by the risottari of the Rice Fair of Isola della Scala, Veronese gnocchi and tortellini from Valeggio prepared by Alla Borsa restaurant in Valeggio sul Mincio. Furthermore, the bio Fiordifrutta from Rigoni di Asiago will be on stage, which will also be the focus of some masterclasses in combination with Monte Veronese cheese and Chiaretto di Bardolino Spumante. The program of the other free masterclasses dedicated to the wines of the Rosautochthonous denominations and to Prosecco Rosé is also very extensive (reservations can be made at the entrance to the exhibition area).

Another important guest of OggiRosa will be the Verona Arena with its opera festival: the Arena's scenography will be exhibited in the Piazza del Porto in Bardolino, to seal the collaboration between territories to promote Verona and its province.

Space also for music: at Villa Carrara Bottagisio some of the protagonist musicians of 100 Note in Rosa, the review of musical aperitifs with Chiaretto di Bardolino, will take place. Ally Joyce & Country Band, I Briganti del Folk, Nathalia Sales Bossanova Trio and Diletta Marzano will take the stage, while on Monday 21 June the band Le Cose Importanti will be the protagonist, busy in those days in Bardolino for the creation of the video clip of the award-winning song Arte d'Amore, produced at Sottoilmare Recording Studio and curated by Studioventisette.

“OggiRosa – continues Cristoforetti – is the way in which we want to celebrate the Day of Italian Pink Wine, announced two years ago by Rosautoctono for 21 June. We invite all pink wine enthusiasts to share their tastings in those days, in Bardolino as everywhere in Italy, using the hashtag #oggirosa
