Regional wines, certified quality foods (DOP and IGP), food and wine culture and tourism: a busy calendar of events will unfold from June to September with the Emilia-Romagna taste roadshow Tramonto DiVino, which transforms the most prestigious squares of the Riviera and the regional art cities into real arenas of taste with the best of the territory's food and wine available to tourists, wine lovers and professionals. The 2025 tour will bring the great wines and foods of Emilia-Romagna to 8 symbolic locations of the region, in the company of many protagonists, including Adriatic fish and the project to promote regional DOP wines. The actors of the food and wine show are a small army of sommeliers, chefs, producers, journalists, bloggers and storytellers who will tell the public about the pearls of taste made available by the Consortia and regional wineries. The tasting tables will feature 30 types of wines with denominations including DOC, DOCG and IGT for a total of around a thousand different labels that the AIS sommeliers will describe and match with a generous selection of the 44 regional DOP and IGP products and fish products from the upper Adriatic, curated and served by students and teachers from the hotel institutes of the various territories and by the partner chefs.
A 360-degree experience of the best of regional food and wine in eight iconic locations across the region
Organized in a single evening, to allow a 360-degree experience of the best of regional food and wine in just a few hours, each stage of Tramonto DiVino is set up in a large city location, a square in the historic center, a fortress or an urban park. The chosen area, in agreement with the partner municipalities, is 'set up' as a real 'taste arena', where hundreds of gastronauts and wine lovers participate at the stalls in the identity tastings of regional wines paired with certified products.
Each stage focuses on one or more products, both wine and food, making them the real protagonists with a special setting and dedicated communication. The handbook for the tasting evenings is the AIS Guide 2025/2026, 'Emilia-Romagna to Drink and to Eat' delivered to all participants at each stage of the taste festival, which together with the App Vini Emilia Romagna, downloadable for free from all stores, allows you to get in touch with regional wine production through the stories of expert tasters of the territorial AIS.
Tasting of around 1.000 labels divided into the various stages: from Albana, to Trebbiano and Sangiovese di Romagna, passing through the Pignoletto dei Colli Bolognesi, to the Lambrusco di Modena and Reggio, to the Ferrarese wines of the sands, to the Piacenza Gutturnio and Ortrugo and the Malvasia shared with the Colli di Parma, and also to the many blends with the international ones, to the sparkling and Classic Method spumante wines, up to the sweet and passito wines. Wines described and served by an impressive group of liveried sommeliers. At each stage there will be around 300 labels representing all the territories, to which are added the Best 100 and the 12 ambassadors, wines that have received the highest recognition this year in the AIS Regional guide.
30 types of DOC, DOCG and IGT wines for a total of approximately one thousand labels described in combination with 44 regional DOP and IGP products and fish products from the upper Adriatic
This year, during the event, special attention will be paid to the promotion of wine DOPs through mini-traveling seminars curated by sommelier tasters to tell and appreciate the Emilia-Romagna denomination labels. In each stage, in fact, 4 territorial designations of origin (DOP) will be selected on which the sommeliers will focus their in-depth study for as many mini-tours, repeated twice during the evening, and dedicated to about ten previously registered wine lovers. The in-depth study for enthusiasts is free and included in the entrance to the event.
Along with the wines, the protagonists will be the certified regional products, made available by the partner Consortia of the regional PDO and PGI: the great Emilians such as Prosciutto di Parma PDO, Modena PDO, Salumi Piacentini PDO, the very fragrant Mortadella Bologna PDO, the brief incursions of other cured meats such as Salame Cacciatorino PDO, Coppa di Parma PDO, Salame Felino PDO. And then, again, the king of cheeses, Parmigiano Reggiano PDO and Squacquerone di Romagna PDO, the inevitable Piadina Romagnola PDO, Peaches and Nectarines of Romagna, Potatoes of Bologna PDO, Traditional Balsamic Vinegars of Modena and Reggio and Vinegar PDO of Modena, White Veal of the Central Apennines PDO, and other delicious surprises. And starting this year, co-protagonists in various stages, regional fish products, each time spectacularized by chefs and by particular pairings with wine, through co-financing of the Feampa program.
