I'm on the rise Bib Gourmet in Italy: The next edition of the Michelin Guide Italy 2023 which will be presented in Franciacorta on November 8th includes 29 new ones, bringing the total of restaurants that offer a pleasant gastronomic experience, with a complete menu at an excellent value for money, to 257 in total. An exhaustive list covering all the Italian regions that is much appreciated by the vast audience of gourmets who these days are increasingly having to deal with the significantly increasing cost of living indices that weigh on household budgets and the increases in foodstuffs caused by the consequences of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The list of Bib Gourmand restaurants, characterized by the pictogram with the smiling face of the Michelin Man licking his mustachethose who represent the economical alternative to the body of starred restaurants, It is based on value for money, certainly essential for the Michelin judges, but the priority remains the passion for the table that creates the atmosphere of places where you can taste recipes often inspired by tradition. But not only.
Bib Gourmand restaurants with excellent value for money but also a passion for the table between tradition and innovation
“There are many novelties in the 2023 selection of Bib Gourmands, which show the dynamism of the sector. A wide and varied gastronomic offer – he declares Sergio Lovrinovich, Director of the MICHELIN Italy Guide -, which ranges from more traditional cuisine, such as the Vascello d'Oro in Carrù, to taverns with more creative and equally delicious menus, such as the FØRMA Contemporary restaurant in L'Aquila, up to proposals such as the Asian one at Nida in Lucca. The most dynamic region is Lazio, while Emilia-Romagna is confirmed as the region with the most Bib Gourmands.”
In particular, the regions that have hoarded more Bib Gourmands in general are all from the centre, nord: Emilia-Romagna with 32 bibs, Lombardy with 30 bibs, the Piemonte with 29 bibs, the Toscana with 25 bibs, the Veneto with 22 bibs
The new selection will be available on the MICHELIN Guide website and on the iOS and Android apps starting at 20.00 on 8 November. By downloading the free app you can explore and book all the Michelin restaurants and hotels in the world.
