Dl Lavoro: Pd focuses on increasing protections, no references to article 18

The Democratic Party focuses on the contract with increasing protections, with the suspension of the application of article 18 for three years and without an "explicit reference to the Workers' Statute". These are the fundamental points of the labor reform that emerged from the meeting between the Pd parliamentarians and the Minister of Labor Giuliano Poletti, but also the yes to a "reference to the simplified Code" and to the changes to the minimum wage, providing that the measures apply “only to workers who do not refer to a collective labor agreement”.

However, some knots remain to be resolved, as stated by the vice president of the New Center-right group in the Senate Federica Chiavaroli, and in particular the knot relating to article 4 of the work delegation: "We could not vote for it in the absence of a significant rewrite".

Chiavaroli also asks the Prime Minister Matteo Renzi to follow up on his words today when, speaking in the Chamber, he called for the overcoming of the current form of labor law, which creates a world based "on apartheid, dividing citizens into second-class and second-class citizens B”, and affirming that the Government is ready to intervene with an emergency provision if the work in Parliament does not proceed at a rapid pace.

"For work - continued Chiavaroli - as for the tax authorities, justice or the Public Administration, it takes little to pass from a real reform to only an apparent one that does not lead to substantial changes".
