La Italy's Best Employers 2026 ranking, compiled by the Statista platform based on over 300 employee evaluations, once again confirms the primacy of Italian companies in the ability to guarantee a satisfying work environment. At the top of the podium is Lavazza, which gets the maximum score of 10, followed by Sorgenia e Granarolo, completing an entirely Italian podium.
The top ten also includes Heineken (4) IRCCS Foundation National Cancer Institute (5) Essilor Luxottica (6) Bialetti (7) Novartis (8) Samsung (9) and Brothers Carli (10). The ranking highlights the presence of Italian or Italian-led companies in the most diverse sectors, from food to luxury, from scientific research to technology.
Best Employers 2026: The Ranking Methodology
The survey, now in its sixth edition, was carried out by The report of Statista and published by Corriere.it. The ratings are based on the spontaneous and anonymous opinions of employees, collecting data on the company climate, workload, tools and equipment, relationships with superiors and remuneration. Particular focus was dedicated to work female, to analyze whether career opportunities and the possibility of negotiating salary are actually equal compared to male colleagues. The updated methodology has expanded and enriched the evaluation criteria, providing a more detailed and realistic score.
Italy's Best Employers: The Surprises of the 2026 Ranking
Some positions are of interest: Lamborghini (17) precede Classic Ferrari for sale (19), while Barilla (16) exceeds De Cecco (27). Among the technological giants, ecosystem (20) Google (29) and Apple (59) appear further down. The first bank is Bank of Asti (31), the first university is University of Pisa (34), while Iulm in Milan is ranked 41st. The first pharmaceutical company in the ranking is Gsk (14).
The ranking shows how Italian companies, from family businesses to publicly traded groups or those controlled by investment funds, cover diverse sectors and offer varied organizational structures and career paths, without expressing a judgment on the overall quality of the companies.

Maria Luisa Gota (Eurizon) among the 100 most influential women in European finance
Monday October 6 Financial News announced the 19th “100 Most Influential Women in European Finance list”, inserting Maria Luisa Gota, CEO of Eurizon, as sole representative of an Italian companyAppointed head of the Asset Management Division of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group in April 2024 and president of Assogestioni in March 2025, Gota oversees Eurizon's international development, from its entry into the Greek market to ETFs, including experiments with artificial intelligence and fund tokenization. Under her leadership, the company's assets reached "€397 billion at the end of June 2025 (+4,2% over 12 months)," with an 18% increase in the penetration of funds sold through private banking networks.
