This June, the third edition of La Tavola dei 300, organized by the Lubrense Restaurateurs Association, will take place in Marina della Lobra and Marina di Puolo on June 16 and 17, 2026. The event will introduce the Italian and international public to the beauty of the Massa Lubrense coast. The program, presented at the Caputo family's Michelin-starred restaurant "Taverna del Capitano" in Marina del Cantone, focuses primarily on the sea, which will also be the star of the menu for both evenings. A sea celebrated, recounted, and savored through music and traditional food and wine, capable of evoking sensory memories of ancient flavors.
"We started a few years ago with a simple yet ambitious idea," says Francesco Gargiulo, President of the Lubrense Restaurateurs Association, "to showcase Massa Lubrense through its cuisine, its hospitality, and its people. Today, La Tavola dei 300 has become a symbol of identity and collaboration between restaurateurs, residents, and institutions. And I want to thank all our partners. Bringing the event to our coastal villages further enhances the historic connection between our region and the sea. Food and wine tours and moments of conviviality will be the heart of an event that aims to consolidate Massa Lubrense's image as a capital of hospitality and the culture of taste, with a leading role in the panorama of Italian cuisine, a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity."
The highlight of the event, spectacularly scenic and gastronomically impressive, showcasing the flavors of the Sorrento Coast, will be the exclusive La Tavola dei 300 dinner on Wednesday the 17th. The dinner will take place in the charming village of Marina di Puolo, where the association's 60 chefs will be at the stove, showcasing the local flavors and the culinary traditions of their restaurants. Starred restaurants, osterias, pizzerias, pastry shops, bakeries, florists, and producers from the municipality of Massa Lubrense and every hamlet will be participating in an event designed to promote the villages of Massa Lubrense, from their natural beauty and landscape to their local flavors.
Marina di Puolo has a very ancient history: it takes its name from the powerful Pozzuoli family of Felice Pollio, who governed trade with the Mediterranean and Asia and who had a sumptuous 30.000-square-meter villa built here.
The history of Marina della Lobra is even older. Marina della Lobra, a picturesque fishing village whose name derives from the Latin delubrum (temple), has a long history that combines Greek legends, Angevin rule, religious devotion, and a deep connection to the sea: the ruins of ancient Marina once housed a pagan temple dedicated to the Sirens or Minerva.
"Our recipes tell the story of this land," says Mariella Caputo, sommelier and owner of the Taverna del Capitano restaurant with her brother, chef Alfonso Caputo. "Bringing La Tavola dei 300 to the marinas means showcasing the most authentic soul of Massa Lubrense, made up of fishermen, families, and flavors that have been passed down for generations."
"The Table of the 300 is more than just a gastronomic event," explains Giovanna Staiano, Acting Mayor of Massa Lubrense, "but represents a model for promoting the region, bringing together identity, landscape, and community. Massa Lubrense possesses an extraordinary heritage that deserves to be showcased through its excellence."

Naturally, there will be prestigious guests from the food world, including television journalist Edoardo Raspelli, who will award local excellence on June 16th; Enzo Coccia, Maestro della Pizza Napoletana, who will open the festivities on June 17th in Marina di Puolo; and others, whose shrouds of mystery still linger. The evening of June 17th will conclude with music on the beach and a spectacular fireworks display by the sea.
A mention of the closure of the prestigious "Quattro Passi" restaurant is a must, a historic destination for international celebrities and a benchmark for top-class cuisine throughout southern Italy. "We express our full solidarity with the Mellino family," stated Francesco Gargiulo, President of the Regional Regional Council (ARL), and Mariella Caputo of Taverna del Capitano. "What happened at Quattro Passi has deeply affected all of Massa Lubrense. It is a great loss for all of us, given the importance and history of a restaurant that had the ability to promote Massa Lubrense worldwide, bringing great prestige to the area. It is a huge loss for the entire town, and we hope that clarity will soon be shed so that Quattro Passi can reopen again."
As every year, the Tavola dei 300 will also give ample space to solidarity. In recent editions, donations have been made to the Regional Pediatric Burns Center in 2024 and to the non-profit organization "I Genitori Prima di Tutto" in 2025.
For 2026, the social initiative will be aimed at the local community; thanks to the synergy between the Restaurateurs Association and the parish priests, families in difficulty in Massa Lubrense will be helped.
