The euro goes up, Milan goes back. Indeed, in the afternoon Piazza Affari has reversed course: the FtseMib index loses 0,64% at 17.391 points. In the first stages he had gone to the new highs since August 2011 at 17.683 points.

Also on the government bond market gains prevailed: the 10-year BTP gave ground slightly with the yield rising from 4,15% to 4,18% and the spread at 264 (+10 basis points).

Frankfurt +0,2% and Paris +0,06% closed in positive territory. On the other hand, Madrid +-0,24% is in red, while Athens is unable to defend the 1.000 point mark reached today for the first time in the last 17 months.

Among the macrovariables, the euro remains strong against the dollar to 1,335 and accelerated the recovery against the Swiss franc (from 1,218 to 1,226) and against the pound sterling (from 0,827 to 0,832).

Returning to Piazza Affari, Generali is leading the decline, losing 3,09% at the end of the presentation of the new business plan in London.

The banks are also weak: Intesa drops by 1,21%, Ubi -1,00%, Unicredit -0,23%. B. Pop. Emilia -1,57% a whisker ahead of Monte Paschi -1,58% which interrupts the upward race.

In reverse, Fiat tire +6,25% thanks to rumors about a possible agreement to produce some Jeep models in China. The novelty could be announced at the Detroit Auto Show which opens today. Pirelli gains 0,22%.

It closes beautifully too Ferragamo +4,67%.

Among industrial stocks, Finmeccanica drops by 1,99%, StM resets the gains.
