FiberCop: Lower emissions and a clear path to 2040
The most relevant data concerns the reduction of emissions: compared to 2023, FiberCop reports a 36% drop in direct emissions and linked to purchased energy. Even more significant is the data on indirect emissions of the value chain, which drop by 65% in one of the main categories monitored.
The company also confirmed a long-term goal: reduce CO₂ emissions by 70% by 2030 and reach Net Zero by 2040This path has been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative, which certifies the consistency of climate objectives with international scientific evidence.
Sustainability integrated into the business model
Il floor Esg of FiberCop is based on three main areas: environmental impact, care for people, and sustainable economic development. The company emphasizes that these elements are not separate from industrial activity, but rather an integral part of strategic decisions and investments.
The path is also part of the global sustainability objectives promoted by the United Nations, with the aim of contributing to the country's ecological and digital transition.
Work, safety and people at the centre
Internally, FiberCop involves over 18 thousand people and continues to invest in training e of your digital ecosystem. In this context, 150 operational sites are covered by the ISO 45001 certification, dedicated to health and safety at work.
The company also confirms its commitment to diversity and inclusion, with the UNI/PdR 125 and ISO 30415 certificationsWomen represent 23% of the total workforce, while in management positions this figure rises to 28%, signaling a gradual growth in career paths.
Suppliers and supply chain more involved in the transition
Within the perimeter of the supply chain, the company has started the program “Building Network”, aimed at involving suppliers on ESG issues and extending sustainability criteria throughout the industrial ecosystem.
The document – a note explains – was drawn up on a voluntary basis in accordance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and in line with the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures.
