Again discounts on fuel. After a long phase of abundant gross margins on gasoline and diesell, the companies have finally decided to put their hands on the price lists by reducing the recommended prices downwards.

In detail, Eni dropped by 1 cent on diesel alone, Tamoil by 0,5 cents on green, Esso and Shell by 0,5 cents on both products. Reductions still not fully implemented in terms of prices charged in the area, where the no-logo companies take a decisive step back, increasing the gap from the oil companies. This is the picture that emerges from the monitoring of dailyenergy.it in a sample of service stations that represents the national situation for Check-Up Prices
Q.E.

At country level, the average price of petrol (in served mode) today ranges from 1,612 euro/l in the
Eni plants at 1,619 of those Tamoil (no-logo at 1,512). For diesel, it went from 1,564 euro/l of Esso to 1,572
of Q8 (no-logo at 1,458). Lastly, LPG is between 0,713 euro/l for Eni and 0,733 for Shell (no-logo at 0,707).

Meanwhile bad news from the save Italy decree: in art. 15 it is expected that from 1 January 2012, the production tax on petrol will rise to 704,20 euros per thousand litres, while that on diesel to 593,20 euros per thousand liters. Also considering the multiplier effect of VAT, the impact on consumer prices will be almost 10 cents for green and 13,6 cents for diesel. Rises are also foreseen for LPG (from 125,27 to 267,77 euros per thousand kg).
