Bancomat lands on Google Pay: Intesa Sanpaolo opens up to digital payments via smartphone

News in the sector of payments digital,: the cards ATM can be digitized and used via GooglePay. The integration, made possible by an agreement between Bancomat, Intesa Sanpaolo and Google, allows for the first time in Italy the banking group's customers to enable their card on Google Wallet and pay directly with smartphone Android.

This feature – explains a note from Intesa – allows you to make contactless payments in physical stores without having to use the physical card or enter the PIN on the POS, in compliance with the security standards already applied by the circuit.

The integration simplifies the payment experience for consumers and, for merchants, helps speed up transactions and reduce wait times at checkout.
