Wine: Oiv confirms Italian supremacy. Beat France again

A few weeks after the data from Brussels announcing the overtaking of Italian production to the detriment of its French cousins, the International Organization of Vine and Wine, an intergovernmental body of a technical and scientific nature, confirms Italy's supremacy.

According to OIV data, Italy will once again lead the ranking of world producers, with 48,9 million hectoliters compared to France's 47,4 million hectoliters. In third place, but a long way off, is Spain, with 36,6 million hectoliters. The United States follows with 22,1 million.

Also in this case these are provisional data while waiting for the other countries to transmit their estimates, but based on OIV forecasts, 2015 will close with a production range between 270,7 and 280,7 million hectoliters ( whence the average of 275,7).
