Intesa Sanpaolo, Together with Confindustria ., Isybank e Generation Italy, expands the “Youth and Work” program with new free courses dedicated to tourism and hospitality sector, one of the strategic sectors of the Italian economy but currently struggling with a severe shortage of qualified personnel.
The initiative aims to encourage the entry of young people into the world of hospitalityThrough intensive and highly professional courses, designed in collaboration with companies in the sector. The new program will be aimed specifically at those wishing to work in the restaurant and dining room sectors, with a direct link between training and concrete employment opportunities. Since its launch in 2019, the "Giovani e Lavoro" program—promoted by Intesa Sanpaolo per il Sociale together with Generation Italy, a non-profit foundation supported by McKinsey & Company—has already trained over 5.700 young people throughout Italy, of which more than 700 in 2025 alone. A project that involves around 2.500 partner companies and records a job placement rate of over 80%.
Intesa Sanpaolo and Confindustria Alberghi: free courses for young people in tourism
The agreement with Confindustria Alberghi stems from the growing need for qualified professionals in tourism, a sector that continues to be a key driver of the country's economic and employment growth. Member companies will contribute directly to defining the skills required by the market and will meet the participants at the end of the courses through interviews dedicated to job placement.
The courses are aimed at young people between 18 and 29 years looking for employment and foresee a free training Fully funded by the Intesa Sanpaolo Group. The approach is highly practical and work-oriented, aiming to reduce the skills mismatch.
Over the years, the "Youth and Work" program has expanded to include numerous high-employment sectors, from hi-tech to precision mechanical engineering, from retail to renewable energy, and even the hotel and restaurant industries. Courses offered also include: paths for Java Developer, Cyber Security Analyst e Data engineer, designed to accompany the digital and sustainable transformation of the labor market.
