Retromobile 2019, the Sotheby's auction is worth 32 million

It's time for Retromobile, the car exhibition that has been running since 1976 makes Paris the classic car show. But people attend the event not only to look at and immerse themselves in decades of international automotive history, but also to buy: in fact, the result of the latest auction at Retromobile for RM Sotheby's amounts to over 32 million euros in sales .

As reported by the Corriere, with 79% of lots sold and record prices, the RM Sotheby's auction attracted the attention of buyers arrived from 45 countries around the world, with a 25% increase in offers compared to 2018.

The cars they have registered dizzying sales are the following:
the 40 Ferrari F1987 LM was one of the legends of motorsport from Maranello more recently and was sold at the Paris auction for 4 million 842.500 euros. 

La Porsche 550 RS Spyder from 1956 it exceeded three million euros at auction, 3.042.500 to be precise. It is one of the most popular sports cars of the 50s and 60s and was restored in 2000.

La  Ferrari 275 GTB/6C from 1966, Ferrari Classiche certified, the first of only eight aluminum long-nose, six carburettors, recently restored in its original colors, climbed onto the podium of the three most popular in Paris, beaten  2 million 860.000 euros. The Berlinetta bearing Scaglietti's signature arrived in California in 1973, returned to Italy and remained in the collection of Luigi Compiano from Treviso for more than thirty years.

In the year that celebrates the 110th anniversary of the parent company, the hypercars of the Mulhouse company record astronomical prices: the Bugatti Chiron was auctioned off for two million and 275.000 euros. This elegant car takes its name from the Monegasque driver Louis Chiron and belonged to a German collector, with only 1800 km travelled.

One of the 30 Bugatti EB110 Super Sport produced from 1994 with only 916 km travelled, it was sold for two million and 30.000 euros, far exceeding the estimated price which ranged from 1.300.000 to 1.800.000 euros.

The F50, certified Ferrari Classiche, what had been defined at the Geneva Motor Show in 1996 as "the road F1", it was sold for one million and 700.000 euros, with only 21.850 km travelled. The Maranello spider with removable hardtop was built in a limited series of just 349 units between 1995 and 1997 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the company's founding.

The result of the 12 Ferrari F2017tdf far exceeded expectations, sold for 1.197.500, exceeding the estimated price which was between 825.000 and 950.000 euros. One owner and less than 2.600 km traveled since new, this limited edition has a refined bodywork in "Brunito" color with details taken care of by the Ferrari Tailor Made department. With its 12 HP V780, it remains one of the most sought-after modern Ferraris by collectors

La  Porsche 918 Spyder from 2015 it broke the record of 1.101.875 euros, arriving at the Parisian auction with an estimated price of between 950.000 and 1.100.000 euros.

The Ferrari 599 SA was built to celebrate the eightieth anniversary of Pininfarina and the name SA is a tribute to the designers Sergio and Andrea. This model, reserved for the best Cavallino customers, is distinguished from the coupé by the windscreen pillars, the rear-view mirrors and the deflectors behind the seats made of satin-finished aluminum and the soft top in canvas to close the cockpit. It was auctioned off for a value of 933.125 euros 

The Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster was auctioned for a record price: 902.188 euros. The model has been perfectly restored and retains the original engine and gearbox, changed hands only three times, and delivered to the first owner in the United States in 1957.
