The Scuderie del Quirinale virtually reopen the doors of the "Raffaello.1520-1483" exhibition-event with video-stories, insights and backstage forays which, through social channels, will allow you to admire some of the most beautiful works on display and will present details and curiosities about the Renaissance painter's art and the largest exhibition ever attempted so far.
With the hashtag #RaffaelloOltreLaMostra it will be possible to listen to the story of the curators and participate virtually in the meetings hosted at Palazzo Altemps before the exhibition opens to the public. From Silvia Ginzburg, who deals with the theme of Raphael's youth, to Antonio Natali, who recounts the painter's Florentine period, up to Alessandro Zuccari, who explores his activity in the capital.
Many contributions also offered by the curators of the exhibition and by important scholars who, through video pills, will deepen the works and the great themes relating to Raphael's art. The series, introduced by the curator Marzia Faietti with "Some reason, among many, to love Raffaello", will start with Matteo Lafranconi, curator and Director of Scuderie del Quirinale, starting right from the point where the exhibition itinerary starts, with "The death by Raphael". Afterwards, the co-curators Francesco Di Teodoro and Vincenzo Farinella will delve into the Letter to Leo X, the Villa Madama project, Raphael's relationship with the ancient world, with his clients and the years of his youth. Finally, the scholar Achim Gnann will present a reflection on "Raphael and Giulio Romano".
Online activities will continue with #RaffaelloInMostra: video-walks inside the rooms, enriched by details and curiosities about the works, and forays into the backstage, with the story of the setting up of the review which boasts masterpieces from the collections of the most important museums in the world, for a total of 204 works, 120 by Raphael himself between paintings and drawings.
