Cdp appointments, Davide Bertone appointed new CEO of Fondo Italiano d'Investimento Sgr

In view of the renewal of the Board of Directors of Fondo Italiano d'Investimento Sgr, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti has designated David Bertone as new CEO of the company which today manages 13 closed-end investment funds reserved for qualified investors, with Assets Under Management of over 3 billion euro, majority owned by Cdp Equity and whose capital includes the shareholders Intesa Sanpaolo, Unicredit, Fondazione ENPAM, ENPAIA Foundation, Abi, Banco BPM and BPER Banca. Bertone succeeds Antonio Pace, CEO of FII Sgr in the last three years.

Bertone, a graduate in Economics and Commerce from the University of Turin, comes from Mediobanca where over the course of 20 years he has held positions of increasing responsibility up to holding, from 2019 until today, the role of co-head of Mid-Corporates and Financial Sponsor Solutions. Previously, from 1998 to 2002, he worked for the Fiat Group (now Stellantis), until he was appointed CFO of Fiat Auto Argentina SA.
