The Lombardy Regional Council approves “Manufacturing 4.0”, a law aimed at encouraging research, innovation and technology thanks to 580 million euros of regional, national and European resources.
Through the new legislation, the body led by Roberto Maroni aims to propose new tools for credit, administrative and fiscal simplification, internationalization, as well as an integration between professional training, research and artisan work, in collaboration with universities, research centers and companies .
There are many measures intended for businesses. Manufacturing 4.0 foresees the activation of crowdfunding initiatives aimed at supporting companies that invest in innovation, but also the launch of the new Start-up program and the Innovation Fund to support the best projects. Thanks to the plan, companies will receive 300 million euros over five years through ERDF resources, Finlombarda and the banking system. But there's more, because for companies with less than five years of life, the new legislation establishes tax benefits as regards the measures of regional competence.
