The green revolution of Ducati energia with the new photovoltaic system created by the Hera group

Ducati Energia's new photovoltaic system will cover over 70% of its energy needs with renewable sources, reducing CO300 emissions by 2 tonnes every year

The green revolution of Ducati energia with the new photovoltaic system created by the Hera group

The green revolution of Ducati Energy became reality with the inauguration of new photovoltaic system. Designed and managed by Hera Servizi Energia (Hse), the energy service company of the Hera group, this plant will convert solar rays into 1.170 MWh of energy per year, thus covering 70% of the requirement annual of the historic Borgo Panigale company, active internationally in the electronic and electromechanical components sector. The environmental benefits are significant: thanks to this new infrastructure, a reduction of 300 tons of CO2 emitted every year is expected, equal to how much a forest absorbs of 32 hectares.

Hera Servizi Energia and Ducati Energia: an alliance for a green future

Il 12 year contract between Hera Servizi Energia and Ducati Energia is not limited only to the construction of the plant, but also includes management and maintenance. Thanks to a remote management and remote control system active 24 hours a day, the plant will be managed with maximum efficiency and continuity of service.

This plant, explains a note, is just one of the pieces of Hera's commitment to energy efficiency and decarbonisation. In his Industrial plan to 2027, the group has committed to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 37% by 2030, projecting a reduction of 29% already by 2027. Furthermore, the Bologna group will reach its 3 objective of increasing to over 2030% of the share of renewable electricity on the total sold.

“It is a moment of great satisfaction for us – he declared Giorgio Golinelli, CEO of Hera Servizi Energia - because it represents a concrete result for the environmental sustainability of Ducati Energia, the primary production company in the area, and of the city of Bologna: thanks to this plant, in fact, we are further increasing the contribution of the Hera Group to the Bologna Mission Climate, the path towards climate neutrality that the Municipality of Bologna is committed to achieving by 2030".

“Sustainability and energy efficiency are key to modern growth,” he added Federica do you drive, president of the energy service company. “Ducati Energia continues on the path of transition towards a more rational and efficient use of resources, implementing sustainable production and consumption models in all the companies of the group, with the aim of combining our industrial objectives with the socio-economic development of the areas in which we operate".
