Dismissal for all 413 employees of the establishment Jabil di marcianise, in the Caserta area. Last July, the American multinationalelectronics had officially communicated to the unions, the Campania Region and the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy that the production site would close by March 2025. Today, Jabil reports, the company "has communicated to all interested parties the formal start of the collective dismissal procedure".
Jabil, here's what the US multinational electronics company said
“Jabil has been seeking a sustainable solution for its operations in Italy for years,” the note continues. “Recently, Jabil Marcianise has been working on a solution to preserve the Marcianise plant, ensuring its economic sustainability and protecting the jobs of all employees.
For this reason, the company expresses its disappointment towards the unions and workers who voted against an agreement supported by the Government (through Invitalia) with Tme Engineering. This decision has complicated the situation, making it more difficult to find a workable solution for the Marcianise plant and its employees.”
Jabil, the j'accuse to the unions
“The current difficult conditions of the global market do not allow for further delays, making it necessary for Jabil to initiate the collective dismissal procedure. Jabil remains convinced that the proposed solution was valid and sustainable, ensuring a working future for the plant's employees. Unfortunately, Jabil failed to reach an agreement with unions and workers, and will consequently act in accordance with Italian law by following the collective dismissal procedure pursuant to Law.
223/91", concludes the note.
