Prime Minister Monti left for the Belgian capital a day ahead of schedule

Surprisingly the Prime Minister Mario Monti has already flown to Brussels today, a day ahead of schedule, which see a bilateral meeting with France scheduled for tomorrow on the agenda.

The reason for this early transfer is not yet known, but there would be contacts being defined with the EU top management, probably regarding the latest negative developments in the situations of some countries, including Greece and Hungary.

Meanwhile the President of the Republic Giorgio Napolitano "blesses" the work of the executive. “Monti has all the qualifications to be able to ask the EU questions concerning the way to guarantee rigor and growth in Europe. Furthermore, the decree approved by Parliament is concrete proof of how Italy is reliable, also from the point of view of public debt”.

Today and tomorrow is not the only European meeting on the prime minister's agenda: on the 23rd there will be the Eurogroup in Brussels, where Monti will attend as Economy Minister. Then, on the 30th, the extraordinary EU summit dedicated to development is scheduled.
