Florence Group: 5 other companies join. Turnover for 200 million and over 1000 employees

The family grows Gruppo Florence, with the acquisition of another 5 companies of excellence specialized in niche productions. Thus the group's business model is strengthened, aimed at safeguarding the technical and cultural know-how of Made in Italy productions, which in just over two years has brought together 12 companies for a turnover estimated total of over 200 million euros with over 1000 employees operating in different regions of Italy.

“Gruppo Florence continues its growth path and continues to find strong interest from entrepreneurs who recognize the goodness of our business model aimed at preserving the Italian supply chain, offering the numerous niche production excellences the possibility of joining a group more stable and well structured,” he said in a statement Francis Trapani, president of the Florence Group.

“The new companies that we welcome today were created by entrepreneurs with an incredible history behind them and enrich the Florence Group's offer with highly specialized niche manufacturing. These companies, with their entry into the group, will be able to strengthen their services to an increasingly demanding clientele” adds Attila Kiss, CEO del Gruppo

Il Gruppo Florence, founded in October 2020, is approximately 65% ​​owned by the consortium driven by VAM Investments, Fondo Italiano d'Investimento (through Fondo Italiano Consolidamento e Crescita – FICC), Italmobiliare and for the remaining 35% by families who previously owned the companies and are now shareholders of the group.

Here are the 5 new arrivals:

  • CAM, a family company led by Giorgio Corrente based in the province of Bergamo, specialized in clothing manufacturing total look, both for women and men, and garments with a high technical content.  
  • Elledue packs, founded in 1976 in the province of Arezzo, is led by the founder Maria Grazia Livi. The company is known for the production of highly tailored casual and sporty outerwear. For some time the presence of its teams has been considered essential by several international brands during the week of the Paris and London fashion shows. 
  • Frediani, a company founded in Turin in 1992 by Massimo Frediani, son of the modeling and tailoring of Italian high fashion. The company, leader in the design of high-end outerwear for brands in the luxury world, is also able to follow the industrialisation, purchasing and production phases. 
  • Parmamoda, born from a school for pattern makers and prototype makers for the great Haute Couture brands, in 1999 it became a company, thanks to the will of the sisters Francesca and Giovanna Bertagna. Today it is a company of excellence in the creation of day and evening dresses and light outerwear. Since 2007 Parmamoda has decided to invest in an internal production line with the branch of Rovigo di Piemme Officine. The new headquarters will inaugurate next May 2022, following the conclusion of the acquisition of the business branch (former Polesine fashion center) including machinery, know-how and personnel to almost double the internal production capacity and count, for Parmamoda, in total about 80 employees. 
  • Peeps, a family business in the province of Perugia, has been producing fleece and jersey garments in combination with materials such as cashmere, silk and technical fabrics since 1979. Born as a pure façonista, the company has evolved with the offer of prototyping and sampling services for adults and children. 

The five new companies join a Giuntini, leader in outerwear and light fabric, Ciemmeci, prestigious manufacturer of leather and fur garments, Mely's, excellence in the knitwear segment, Manifatture Cesari, jersey specialist, Emmegi, historic manufacturer of informal outerwear for men and women, Antica Valserchio, leader in the production of scarves and stoles for the most important brands of the international fashion system e Metaphor, producer of high-end knitwear for the main international luxury brands.
