On the occasion of International day for the elimination of violence against women, two important Italian organizations confirm their commitment to the fight against all forms of abuse, discrimination and gender oppression: theAssolombarda Advisory Board for the Social with the talk “Finally Free” and FS group with a series of initiatives symbolic and informative on the national territory.
“Finally Free”: Work as a Tool for Autonomy
For the fourth edition of the talk, Assolombarda focuses on work as a decisive lever for the rebirth and independence of the women victims of violenceThe initiative, chaired by Gabriella Magnoni Dompé with Frances Sironi Vice President, brings together businesses, institutions, and civil society to explore concrete support, training, and professional reintegration opportunities.
The talk will be moderated by Sky TG24 journalist Luigi Casillo and will see the participation of experts such as Luca Fuso (project “Mending Your Life”), Barbara Riva (Afol Monza and Brianza), Anna Danes (legal protections), Rita Querze(“A woman, a job, an account”) and the actor Paolo Kessisoglu, which will bring an emotional contribution.
As Francesca Sironi emphasizes, "work isn't just a source of income, but a crucial element in regaining dignity, security, and the ability to imagine a different future." The talk will air Tuesday, November 25th at 6:00 PM on Sky channel 501.
The FS Group: Red Stations and a Practical Guide to Recognizing Violence
The FS Group also confirms its commitment to combating gender-based violence: thirty Italian railway stations, from North to South, and the headquarter del Gruppo they turn red to raise public awareness of domestic violence and femicide. Red shoes will also be on display at the headquarters, while two red benches will be inaugurated at Milano Smistamento and Firenze Santa Maria Novella, demonstrating FS's support for victims.
In collaboration with the Dragonfly FoundationThe Group has created a practical guide to recognize the signs of violence, from devaluation and humiliation, to social isolation, to control over daily life, to threats and physical signs of abuse. The guide offers concrete tools and a link to the Help Signal and emergency numbers for safe intervention.
The FS Group has recently obtained the Gender Equality Certification, confirming a path of valorization of differences, inclusion and prevention of harassment, with a listening desk active since 2020 and a Code of Conduct corporate on the topic of sexual harassment.
