Still negative signals from the German economy. After the disappointing PMI Markit index released yesterday, in Germany it was announced today that the Ifo index on the German business confidence climate for the month of September stood at 104,7 points, below the expectations of analysts, set on an index equal to 105,7 and at the previous reading, equal to 106,3 points.
The Ifo index on expectations came in at 99,3 points (consensus 101,2 points), while that on current conditions dropped to 110,5 points in September compared to 111,1 recorded in August, however exceeding the consensus (110,2 points).
