Un integrated development contract for the area “Vesuvius-Pompeii-Naples”. The Ministry of Culture puts its hand to the relaunch and reorganization of the largest monumental area of Campania. The document that initiates the works was signed by the undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture Lucia Borgonzoni from a total availability of approximately 300 million euros.

In the Neapolitan area, 14 interventions are planned with a cost of 73 million

Neighboring Municipalities will also benefit Pompei and to the crater of the Vesuvio. In fact, it is the entire area that requires an environmental review as well as the restoration of the monuments. The environmental damages between abandoned waste, illegal building and devastation to crops are documented by the complaints of dozens of associations. The risk that the monument that has exceeded 4 million visitors a year could further deteriorate is removed by this contract on which the Ministry has been working for some time.
