In Campania they have a project for the "Plural Territories of the Region". In Reggio Emilia there is "Rigenera" by the Reggio Emilia Architects Foundation. In Milan, Venice, Bologna, Genoa there is the traveling festival "Cara Casa". They are three of the nine winning projects of the second edition of the Architecture Festival promoted by Ministry of Culture. The review in its second edition selects and rewards the best works that promote and enhance contemporary Italian architecture. The awardees were awarded a total funding of 910 thousand euros; their works will be presented to the public in 2023: in April, those of national value, in October the international ones. The proposals selected by the Ministerial Commission out of the 25 presented, responded to criteria of quality, internationalization and sustainability. Through the involvement of local realities, the architects have identified effective and original solutions for the participation of a wide and differentiated public.
Contemporary Italian architecture looks abroad
The quality criteria are substantiated in the ability to improve the urban, social and economic fabric of cities. "For this reason, we have decided to bet on the exchange of knowledge, knowledge and skills at an international level, so as to be able to bring the good practices carried out in Italy in the field of contemporary architecture abroad". The design of urban spaces and environments can no longer neglect the needs and requirements of people who aspire to live in healthy and protected contexts. It is a challenge for professionals and design studios who approach architecture as a collective value. In this sense, the Ministry wants to "promote the mobility of Italian scholars or designers and the knowledge of contemporary Italian architecture abroad, in collaboration with foreign institutions".
