Cfwa and Anfov: memorandum of understanding for the development of broadband

The goal is to give new impetus to the creation of ultra-broadband networks, simplifying the legislation and the authorization processes - the two associations will set up a joint worktable that will develop concrete proposals for the simplification of the rules that slow down the development of the ultra-broadband -wide in Italy.

The CFWA (Fixed Wireless Coalition) and the ANFoV (Association for the convergence of communication services) have entered into a memorandum of understanding aimed at promoting the deployment of ultra-broadband infrastructures in our country: the synergy between the two associations will allow to have an even stronger and more competent voice with national institutions and local public administrations. The goal is to give new impetus to the creation of ultra-broadband networks, simplifying legislation and authorization processes.

Specifically, the two associations will set up a joint working table which will develop concrete proposals for the simplification of the rules which still today, despite the commendable commitments of the Government, slow down the development of ultra-broadband in Italy. CFWA and ANFoV will produce an annual report to monitor the progress of the simplification and make timely regulatory proposals, which at no cost can relaunch operators' investments.

"This agreement represents an opportunity to give new impetus to the digitization of our country - declares Luca Spada, President of the CFWA - Our goal is to involve the institutions so that operators can invest free from bureaucratic slowdowns".

“The signed Protocol is a strong signal of how we can and should work together when the objectives are of general interest and Italy's competitiveness is at stake. We hope – declares Stefano Ciccotti, President of ANFoV – that the national and local institutions will accept the challenge”.
