The work of the PMI Forum, organized within the framework of the Italy-China Business Forum (BFIC) under the chairmanship of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti and Bank of China.

The initiative takes place in the 5th year since the establishment of the BFIC, the body founded in 2014 by the Italian and Chinese governments with the aim of promoting economic relations between the two countries, currently chaired by Fabrizio Palermo, CEO of CDP , and from Liu Liange, number one of Bank of China.

“The event represents an opportunity to underline the role of CDP in the development of financial and industrial collaboration between Italy and China and to promote new business opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises, in light of the vast potential offered by the Chinese market. The relaunch of support for businesses, especially SMEs, in fact represents a key activity for which the CDP Business Plan envisages mobilizing 83 billion euros in the three-year period 2019-2021”, explains the company in a note.

CDP is present in China with 60 directly or indirectly owned companies, which generate over 3 billion in turnover and manage around 50 production plants and offices throughout the country. The group has attracted over the course of the other 2,5 billion Chinese investments in investee companies.
