In physical terms, the cause of such high temperatures is the African anticyclone Apocalypse4800, which is strengthening over Italy after bringing a record heat in many European countries: in England, for example, the thermometer has exceeded 40% celsius for the first time in history, but prohibitive values have also been recorded in Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany.
Record heat in Italy: 40 degrees over the weekend
Unfortunately, therefore, too the heat in Italy it is destined to increase, with peaks that they will be able to reach the 40/42 degrees. The rise in temperature will first affect the North and the Tyrrhenian side of the Peninsula, and then extend to the whole territory. During the weekend, the highest temperatures are expected in some areas of the Po Valley, as in Emilia, Veneto and lower Lombardy. It will also be very hot in the Center, with 37/39°C in Florence, Rome, in Umbria, in many areas of the Sardinia and Brands and finally in Puglia (38°C expected in Taranto and Foggia).

Tropical temperatures even at night
Not even a bit of relief during the night is expected, as even the estimated minimum temperatures are all very high. There is talk of thermal values around midnight that could still be close to 28-30: a typical share of tropical nights.
Hot: when it ends
But when does the heat end? From Tuesday July 26 the cooler air from Northern Europe could be able to scratch the high pressure present on Italy, especially on the northern regions. The clash between currents of different temperatures could trigger gods severe thunderstorms, which should affect some areas of northern Italy. The same scenario is expected for Wednesday 27. Afterwards, the pressure should increase again, resulting in more stable weather.
