Appliance Bonus 2025, how to get and how does the discount on the invoice work? All about requirements, Isee and products included

Il Appliances bonus 2025 is the new measure introduced to encourage the replacement of old appliances with more efficient and sustainable models. It aims to encourage energy saving in Italian families, simplifying the access methods and offering an immediate discount on the bill. There is often confusion between the 2025 Appliances bonus and the more well-known Furniture and Appliances Bonus, but it's about two separate incentives with different purposes and methods. Let's see how it works, who can request it and which appliances are allowed.

How the 2025 Appliance Bonus Works: ISEE Amounts and Limits

The 2025 Home Appliances Bonus includes a discount on the invoice of up to 30% of the cost of the purchased appliance, with a maximum ceiling of 100 euros per family. For households with ISEE up to 25 thousand euros, the limit increases to 200 euros. This incentive allows you to purchase modern, more efficient and low environmental impact devices, replacing obsolete appliances.

Unlike other measures, no application is required: just contact a participating retailer who will apply the discount directly to the invoice. The retailer will recover the amount as a tax credit through a managed process from PagoPa, while the checks will be entrusted to Invitalia.

How to get the 2025 Appliances bonus

The bonus is aimed at Italian families who intend to replace obsolete appliances with new models produced in the European Union. All taxpayers who purchase after the measure comes into force can benefit from it, until the allocated fund (50 million euros for 2025) is exhausted.

There is no need to carry out building renovations or submit additional declarations: the benefit applies regardless of the real estate or tax situation, thus simplifying access.

Which household appliances are included in the bonus?

The incentive is reserved for low consumption appliances e high energy efficiency produced in Europe. I products which are included in the bonus are:

  • Refrigerators and freezers with energy class F or higher
  • Washing machines, dishwashers and washer-dryers of at least class E
  • Ovens with energy class A or higher
  • Cooking appliances such as electric hobs or microwave ovens
  • Heating and cooling devices such as stoves, radiators, electric fans and air conditioners

I am instead excluded small appliances such as vacuum cleaners, blenders, food processors or portable microwaves.

Timings and deadlines for the Appliances bonus

The bonus should be operational from June 2025, pending the implementing decree that will define all the technical and procedural details. The measure provides for an allocation of 50 million euros for the year 2025 and will be available until the fund is exhausted.

The purchase with the discount on the invoice is made exclusively at participating retailers, who will apply the discount at the time of payment. The taxpayer will therefore receive a reduced price directly on the invoice, without having to make any request or wait for reimbursements.

Furniture and Appliances Bonus: What it is and how it works

Il Furniture and Appliances bonus is a 50% tax deduction which can be obtained exclusively in the case of building renovation work. In practice, those who renovate their home can purchase furniture and large appliances with a high energy class (at least A or higher) and recover half of the expense incurred in their tax return, over a period of 10 years. This bonus has a maximum spending limit of 5.000 euros for appliances.

The two bonuses are cumulative. In this way, you can obtain both the 50% deduction for building works and the discount on the invoice for individual appliances.
