Still a few hours to spend the culture bonus 2023, the 500 euro contribution for Italian 18-year-olds is in deadline. In fact, tomorrow Tuesday 28 February, it will be the last day available for those born in 2003. Otherwise the personal online "portfolio" will be reset automatically. Different speech for i born on the 20th04 who can present the request of the contribution from 31 January until 31 October 2023 and will be able to use the 500 euros by 30 April 2024.

Starting from 2024, the app18 will be split into two cumulative cards: Youth culture card e Card of merit. The first applies to new adults with an Isee of up to 35 thousand euros, the second for those who earn 100 at maturity. The two economic bonuses are available starting from the 2005 class, i.e. those who become adults this year.

Culture bonus 2023: what it is, how it works and deadline

The culture bonus 18app, created in 2016, is a voucher of 500 euros to be spent on a whole range of cultural activities. All children who turned 2023 in 18 (i.e. born in 2022) can take advantage of the contribution in 2004 provided they are resident in Italy or in possession of a valid residence permit. But be careful: the 2023 bonus can still be spent even by children who became adults in 2021, i.e. those born in 2003.

For these, however, there is time until Tuesday 28 February 2023. But caution: only those who turned 18 in 2021 and who registered on the place by August 31 last year they can still spend their voucher by tomorrow.

How to use the 2023 culture bonus?

Those born in 2003 with the 18app culture bonus can only make certain purchases by tomorrow. That is to say:

  • tickets for theatrical and cinematographic performances and live shows: live shows mean professionally performed performances of music, dance, theatre, circuses and traveling shows, which take place in a single and non-reproducible context with the simultaneous presence of artistic and technical and public
  • books, including audio books and electronic books
  • tickets for museums, exhibitions and cultural events, monuments, galleries, archaeological areas, natural parks
  • cds, music dvds, vinyl records and music online
  • music, theater and foreign language courses
  • audiovisual publishing products: individual audiovisual works, distributed on physical media or in digital format
  • subscriptions to newspapers and periodicals, also in digital format

There are no spending limits for a single purchase, but you can't buy more than one unit of the same good or service. For example, you cannot buy multiple copies of the same book.

What can't you buy with the culture bonus?

No are included in the good:

  • music performances intended as dance events: entrances to clubs and discos or parties are therefore excluded
  • hardware supports for playing music and books: therefore, for example, Amazon Kindle, Kobo or other readers are not allowed
  • audiovisual works of a ludicrous, pornographic or inciting violence, racial hatred or gender discrimination
  • subscriptions for access to channels or platforms that offer audiovisual content, therefore not including the various Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, NowTv, Disney+ and others
  • audiovisual works aimed at preparing for university admission tests
  • video courses not considered pertinent to the initiative: pilates, yoga, memory, cooking courses
  • audiovisual works that present mere entertainment content, such as, for example, talent shows and reality shows
  • all goods not mentioned in the previous list are excluded, even if present in the shop, even virtual, which has joined the initiative, in which you are buying.

The bonus is personal and non-transferable, therefore it cannot be transferred, given or sold.
