New on arrival bonds from FS Italiane. The group's board of directors has given the green light to issue bonds and to "recourse to other medium/long-term funding instruments" for an imaximum total amount of 3 billion euros. That's what it reads in a note of the company released on Tuesday.
The FS bonds will fall under the Emtn Programme, listed on the Dublin Stock Exchange, and will be reserved for institutional investors.

The proceeds from the emissions will be used by the group to finance investments. In particular, the funds "will be used forpurchase of new trains for regional passenger transport and for medium and long-distance transport, also internationally, as well as to the railway infrastructure High speed/High Capacity”, the group continues.
"As part of the new Emtn bond issues, FS Italiane is also planning new green operations aimed at financing the investments mentioned above", concludes the note.
