Usa: shutdown, Senate close to agreement but the Chamber node remains

The US Senate is close to a debt deal. Representatives of the Democrats and Republicans will meet in the morning to put the agreement on paper, which among the key points would see the possibility for the US Treasury to exceed the current debt ceiling until February 7 and would fix the reopening of the offices federal on January 15th.

In return, Democrats would be willing to make concessions on some aspects of Obama's health care reform. According to the NYT, however, the extremist wing of the Republican party, present in force in the Chamber, would have serious doubts about the agreement and therefore it is not obvious that the compromise will pass as well as in the Senate.
