The Unicredit board “shared with Jean Pierre Mustier to terminate the employment relationship in advance, as CEO and general manager of Unicredit, starting tomorrow, February 11, 2021".

The bank communicates it through a note. Piazza Gae Aulenti recalls that the decision was taken "in consideration of the identification of Andrea Orcel as candidate for the position of chief executive officer at the next shareholders' meeting scheduled for 15 April 2021 and today's approval of the results 31 December 2020”.

Meanwhile, the board of directors has decided to appoint Ranieri de Marchis new general manager interim of the bank. The manager will remain in office until the appointment of the new CEO, scheduled for April 15, and will also maintain the position of co-coo of the group, which he currently holds.
