Le new car registrations in the EU27 have registered a drop of 5,6% in June (-5,9% in May). This was announced by Acea according to which, with 1.134.042 new registrations, the European market recorded, in the month of June alone, the lowest performance since 1996. Furthermore, in the first half of 2013, 6.204.990 new motor vehicles were registered, with a decrease of 6,6% compared to the same period last year.
Registrations of the are also falling again in June Fiat group in Europe. According to data published today by Acea, the drop in registrations in EU countries plus EFTA countries was 13,6% in June with 69.027 new cars compared to 79.892 in the same month of 2012.
The market share went from 6,4% in June 2012 to 5,9% in June this year. In the first half of the year, the drop was 10,3% compared to the first six months of 2012, with the market share going from 6,6% to 6,4%. The trend decline in EU countries alone was 10% in the first half and 12,6% in June.
At the opening of Piazza Affari, the Fiat share dropped 0,7%.
