What are the companies where you work best in Italy? To answer is the 15th edition of Top Employers 2023, the certification awarded every year by the Top Employers Institute to the best companies for working conditions, benefits, career plans, investments in training and development, HR policies focused on professional and personal growth and people's well-being.

This year they are 141 companies who have achieved the certification. Among them, 46 have also obtained certification Top Employers Europe 2023, attributed to companies that achieve Top Employers certification in at least 5 European countries; and 13 have been certified Top Employers Global 2023, a third level of certification reserved for companies awarded with this recognition in at least 20-25 countries on several continents.

Top Employers 2023: how certification works

The Top Employers certification is awarded after a process of analysis and evaluation of policies and HR strategies based on objective data and supporting documentation. HR policies and strategies are analyzed and evaluated in 6 HR macro areas, which include 20 topics and over 400 Best Practices. After the analysis of the results, an internal validation and an external audit, the companies that reach and satisfy the required standards and quality levels obtain the certification.

There isn't one standings or rating, but all certified companies have the status of Top Employers Certified company. And not all participating companies meet this standard, but for security reasons, companies that do not meet these standards are not disclosed.

Top Employers Italy 2023: 141 companies awarded

Among these there are BPER Banca, Generali Italy e Assicurazioni Generali. That for the second consecutive year it is certified with an increase of 2,05% compared to 2022. They have also been certified Finecobank, Ferrari, Fincantieri, Ivy (for the 14th consecutive year), Iren, Italgas, Intesa Sanpaolo e Unicredit. Poste Italiane makes the list for the fourth consecutive year while Astrazeneca Italy for the ninth. They are also listed Philip Morris Italy, Edison, Bnl PNB Paribas Group, STMicroelectronics, Crédit Agricole Italia spa, Electrolux, EY-Falck Renewables, Agostino Gemelli University Hospital Foundation e Lavazza. Double prize for Open Fiber which, together with the Top Employers 2023 certification, also receives the "Great Place to Work" recognition, 'certification of the quality of work environments and best practices based on the centrality of the person. There are also in the list Vodafone Italy (for the sixth consecutive year), Ray Way (for the seventh consecutive year), WindTre e Whirlpool. Also among the new entries Alstom, which in 2023 aims to hire about 400 talents in Italy.

Finally, 13 Top Employers Italy 2023 certified companies have also obtained the certification TOP Employers Global 2023 as certified in several countries (20-25) on several continents.
