In execution of the agreement signed on 26 February 2026, Terna Plus and Rete, a company of the Terna Group, finalised on Tuesday 29 September the closing for the sale to Engie Transmisión Peru, a company of the Engie Group, of 100% of the shares of Terna Peru, owner of a 138 kV power line with a total length of approximately 132 km, which connects the electrical stations of Aguaytía and Pucallpa, in the Ucayali region of Peru, for a transaction value of approximately 15 million dollars.
The operation is part of the strategic refocusing confirmed in the updated 2024-2028 Industrial Plan. For several years, Terna has been enhancing its asset portfolio in Latin America, with the aim of gradually exiting non-core activities abroad to focus investments and capital expenditure on the national grid.
The group had already reiterated in the first quarter of 2025 that it would continue with all necessary steps to finalize the sale of its assets in Peru. Management itself denied any speculation about the sale of regulated assets in Italy, calling them baseless. the divestment only concerns foreign countriesFor Engie, the acquisition strengthens its presence in Peruvian broadcasting, where the French group is already active.
