Taiwan: TransAsia Airways plane crashes, over 50 dead

A passenger plane crashed while landing on the Penghu Islands. It was a domestic flight operated by TransAsia Airways from Taiwan. 58 people were on board the plane: 51 would be dead, while 7 other people would be injured.

The accident was allegedly due to typhoon Mamot, which is raging with torrential rains and very strong winds. This is the second plane crash in just a few days: less than a week ago a Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 bound for Kuala Lumpur had been shot down by a missile 80 kilometers from Donetsk.
