Pesaro is preparing to welcome a moment of reflection and dialogue that is fundamental for its community: the General States of Accessibility. In a particularly significant year, in which the city boasts the title of Italian Capital of Culture 2024, this event becomes even more central in the city fabric.
Saturday April 13th, at the Scavolini Auditorium, citizens and experts will gather to discuss and share good practices regarding inclusion and accessibility in Italian cultural places. Registration is open, offering everyone the chance to participate and contribute to this important conversation.
The General States of accessibility will be held in Pesaro on 13 April
Marco Perugini, president of the Pesaro City Council with responsibility for the Plan for the Elimination of Architectural Barriers (PEBA), expressed satisfaction in organizing this event in the context of the extraordinary year dedicated to the city as Capital of Accessible Culture. “It is a moment of pride for our community,” says Perugini, “which is committed with determination towards a more inclusive and accessible future for all”.
The day promises to be full of ideas and reflections, enriched by the collaboration with "O Even No", the Rai program dedicated to social inclusion, disability and fundamental rights. This partnership will allow the ideas that emerged during the States General to be spread not only in Pesaro, but also on a national scale through the Rai and RaiPlay television channels.
Perugini highlights the success of previous editions of the General States of Accessibility, which contributed to shaping the Peba, recently approved unanimously by the City Council. This plan, created in collaboration with Maruska Palazzi, Guarantor of the Rights of People with Disabilities of Pesaro, aims to eliminate barriers, not only architectural but also social, opening the doors of culture to every individual.
