Sony launches the Playstation 4: it comes out before Christmas and costs 100 euros less than Microsoft's Xbox One

The new Sony-branded console will be available at a cost of 399 dollars (300 euros) in the US and 399 euros (530 dollars) in Europe, before the end-of-year holidays: exactly 100 dollars and 100 euros less than the competing console from Microsoft, the Xbox one.

One hundred euros less (or 100 dollars, overseas): the Playstation 4 (Ps4), the new Sony console presented yesterday in Los Angeles, will cost as much as the competitor from Microsoft, the Xbox One, also due out before Christmas.

The price war has therefore already started between the two historic rivals of video game consoles, both strategically due for release in November, in the pre-Christmas period. There Playstation 4, unveiled yesterday in California and which Sony intends to remain faithful to the spirit of the Playstation 3, will be a entertainment platform for the whole family that effortlessly combines video, music, television and gaming.

Sony Computer Entertainment president Andrew House spoke of one next generation console, which will be launched with special offers including Sony Unlimited music and video services. The manager also specified that Sony will still continue to sell content for the Ps3, but the real news remains the highly competitive price compared to its predecessor, with the intention of launching an unprecedented challenge to Microsoft: PS4 will be available at a cost of 399 dollars (300 euros) in the US and 399 euros (530 dollars) in Europe, before the end of the year holidays. 

It is precisely 100 dollars and 100 euros less than the competing console from Microsoft, the Xbox One, which will also be released in November in 21 countries.
