Eight months after the end of the mandate of the previous directors, which arrived last April, the top management of Sogin, the public company responsible for the dismantling of Italian nuclear plants and the management of radioactive waste, has finally been renewed. For the two-year period 2020-2021, the shareholders' meeting has appointed Luigi Perri to the presidency, while the new managing director is Emanuele Fontani. The Board of Directors is completed by Raffaella Di Sipio, Luce Meola and Enrico Zio.
Perri, nuclear engineer, has been involved since the early eighties for the company Nira (Nucleare Italiano Reattori Avanzati – Ansaldo) of the Pwr nuclear power plant in Trino and the experimental nuclear plant Cirene in Latina. Subsequently he followed, among other things, the construction of conventional plants for the production of electricity as Director of Industrial, Civil and Naval Plants of Demont. Since 2009, still in Demont, he has been employed abroad at the Slovak Enel nuclear power plant in Mochovce.
fountains, in Sogin since 2007, was managing director of the subsidiary Nucleco and in the last three years he was responsible for the decommissioning of Sogin plants. Graduated in Nuclear Engineering, in 2012 he obtained the Executive MBA (Master in Business Administration) at Bocconi University. Previously he was Project Manager at Enel, from 2001 to 2007, and Project Engineer at Eni Tecnomare, from 1999 to 2000.
